Perhaps "rush" or "rushed" are other good words to describe the service.

Can't really afford the academy (no ectos/shards) so unless you want to discount your price for an intermediate runner I'm not sure theres much more to discuss.
I've already changed to a W/Me after the update and it works much better for beacons > drok runs.

That probably is the best word for some of the shiverpeaks stuff and desert missions.

I'm not trying to insult you, but read my earlier post. I have had the gold sitting in my vault for as long as I can remember, but once you have everything in the game, the thing you want is to have extra meaning attached to your items. I could just go and buy fissure armor with anonymous gold from scores of runs I have done, or I could have items and armor with a history, connected to the legendary players of guild wars. Which do you think is more fun: I did a lot of runs and bought fissure armor, or this:
My fissure armor chest piece was made from contributions from legendary GW players like the famed, beautiful runner from Sweden, Elita Coldheart, and the illustrious FoW expert Ashallendt. My fissure helmet was acquired specifically with the money Nef paid me to be rushed through Thirsty River. The +30 fortitude pommel on one of my three running swords? It was given to me by the famous Antonio Ferragamo. That gorgeous double damage reduction Tall you see me use in some runs used to belong to the renowned Lord_Shar, who also helped me get my monk's fissure armor. That remarkable 15% always longsword the eminent Capitalist has? I was the one who transferred it to him and actually picked up two identical swords at the same time, one for me and one for him. I still hold the sister blade to that masterpiece.

It's about owning a piece of Guild Wars history. It's about having my fissure be something more than just another set of fissure armor. This is fissure armor contributed to by the Legends of Guild Wars. It has brushed with greatness: been touched by the gods of the game.

LBS I really admire the way you think. Just ignore the ignorant. They will never understand the concepts of RP'ing in a RPG.

Anyways after some reasearch it seems I only need to get to Grotto and I don't need Citadel at all. I'll probablly end up fighting my way to citadel as I progress through the missions so I won't need a rush after all. My ranger is ascended and is past Dragons Lair so it really would be foolish to pay to be rushed to Citadel at this point.

I appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions though. Wish I could afford to go to your school

I also like the way you think... it is just like something you get from your grandpa that is pretty much worthless but you want to keep b/c it is important to you.

On Thursday, September 22, 2005, a new Guild Wars legend was born: Hanso Togakure graduated from the LBS academy and proved again how easy the Drok's Forge run can be, even under the most recent updates, for someone with the right talent and right build. Congratulations, Hanso!

IMO, the price is very fair for such a professional running training. I'm sure you will earn back its value in good time via drok runs etc. If I havn't already mastered drok running, I would have joined

Cool. An academy. Certified Runners.

When I was playing Eve-Online I joined an academy very similar to this. They had courses on mining, combat, pirating, etc.

I want to this Academy. My Warrior just hit lvl 18.

1 more question before I sell my weapons and join

How do you get so many customers when you have no reputation. If i began to spam beacons perch with i am a runner i charge 6k i will get laughed at. I could say i am one of the best but I will not be able to prove it. I would not be able to make any money when there are people charging so little.

Another good question, Herbalizer: spamming in game for business is not a way to get good business. People want to pay nothing or very little for runs that are increasingly harder and always time consuming. It is how most runners got their start, but the people you want to run are the people who come to you.

Completing the academy is a great way to get a reputation infusion. It means you have accomplished something great and significant. It means you have my stamp of approval as someone honest, someone able, and someone willing. That is exactly what the elite clientele are looking for: a person they know can get them where they want to go, will be available when they want someone, and who won't cheat them. We have standards, but even with high standards, you aren't going to get great business in game among the ignorant the majority of the time. Your big break will come when wealthy people who value time, and recognize that in an economy where the value of all the goods are dropping, the value of services are all the more important, need a run. They will come to the source they trust, Lady Blue Steel and her graduates, and they will look through the list of graduates and see who is online. You will be the one on-line, they willl pay you what your time is really worth, and you will dominate the run, and truly impress them. They will tell their friends, and they will personally contact you again. The word of mouth advertising and the forum advertising are far more effective than the in game advertising.

Maybe your big break will come when I am on-line, as I do almost no runs now. People contact me, and I look for one of my graduates online to give the run opportunity to them. You can advertise in game if you'd like, but value your time as highly as others do, and don't throw it away. You could be playing PvP or clearing the underworld again, but instead you are helping someone else reach grotto, citadel, the forge, the FoW forgemaster, beat thunderhead keep, ascend, or capture the elusive elite skill. That time, given your skill and training, is very valuable, and there is nobility in an honest trade, helping people, but not giving them a hand-out that enables their dependence. They should pay well, for your sake and their own.

Blue Steel, I have a question. You Prereq. states that must change secondary when nessesary. So does that mean I need to finish all secondary profession quests?

I am pleased to announce another graduate of the Academy: Brutaniu Mason, an accomplished runner even before joining the academy, Bruitaniu joined and graduated quickly for the additional prestige and opportunities associated with Lady Blue Steel's Academy. Congratulations, Brutaniu!

I think what it actually says is you must be willing to change if necessary not when necessary. The Lady Blue Steel build is a Warrior/Monk build, so you have to be willing to make your warrior a monk secondary if it isn't already. There are runs that can be done slightly faster with a ranger or a mesmer secondary, but the Lady Blue Steel build works for those runs as well, and is far superior for every other run and unmatched for rushing through missions.

Also please note the following important announcements: I have all the materials I need for my fourth and final set of fissure armor. Also, I want to make sure that I can focus on the needs of my current students and business opportunities for recent graduates, and am therefore not seeking additional students at this time. Those who haved expressed interest in the past are welcome to inquire, but I will probably not train more until the current students have all graduated. Those who have been saving to be able to join should anticipate that 15 ecto and 0 shards will be the tuition in the future (or some similar commitment based on the values of items when the economy settles some). Thanks for all the great support and interest!

I am exactly the clientle she speaks of. The blurr ran my warrior, and Lady ran my elementalist and ascended my warrior. I am now in the academy and practising minor runs. I'm not gonna try the drok run until I have all the necessary skills. I had the money to spend but not the time to waste. There are many others on the runners list that I saw can do it for cheaper, but I had a gut feeling LBS was the way to go. And I was right.

Thanks, FyrFyter, great point. I hope people value both our time and their own! Critical people occassionally claim we are playing the game for folks and they might as well just stop playing if they are going to hire premium runners, but the fact is, if you get the best to help with the annoying parts of the game, they are done extremely quickly and you can get back to making money or having fun. If you make 30K per hour farming and love farming, then you decide you need to capture shield of judgment in mineral springs, you should an LBS certified runner to help you out. Instead of spending an hour building a team on your own, only to spend 5 minutes to figure out that team is terrible, and then 2 hours wandering around mineral springs with 60% death penalty a people dropping out just to figure out where the right boss is this time, you could hire one of my grads and capture that in 20 minutes. They would probably charge 30 to 50K for the service, but you still are better off than spending all that time you could be making much more money and doing what you enjoy in the game. Its a cost benefit analysis, and hundreds of individuals have decided that our service is worth it, not to mention thousands of groups when they realize how quickly an expert can help them get to the point where they can start having the fun they want.

It can be done in platemail, but gladiators is the clear recommendation and will make it easier.
